MBA Admission Requirements

Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program Admission Requirements

A bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a GPA of 2.7 (B-) or better on the 4.0 scale is required for admission to the MBA program. Conditional admission to the program may be granted to an applicant with GPA between 2.5 and 2.7, by the Program Director and is based on the students' application personal statement, letters of recommendation, and detailed review of his/her prior academic transcripts. Applicants who receive a conditional admission are required to achieve a GPA of at least 3.0 in the first nine units of work in the MBA program. A student achieving this academic record will have the conditional status removed. Otherwise the student is subject to dismissal after the first term of enrollment.

Applicants with GPA lower than 2.5 may be admitted as auditors. These students will be considered for admission to the regular graduate status after completing courses necessary to improve their GPA. A minimum of twelve units of undergraduate or graduate level foundation courses with GPA of 3.0 or better is required. Based on the student's academic background, the Program Director may grant him/her the regular graduate status before achievement of the GPA requirement. In support, the student may submit letters of recommendation, GMAT or GRE scores, summary of work experience, research projects, or publications.

All applicants have to meet the University's general admission requirements, as well as the above degree admission requirements.  In addition, international applicants need to meet the international admission requirements.
