------------------------------

Retention rates calculated as follows:  Number of students enrolled in a given program who continue into next year and/or graduate from the program, divided by the number of students enrolled in the program at the beginning of the year, multiplied by 100.

Average GPA calculated as follows: GPA is based on a standard 4.0 scale as defined in the Lincoln University Catalog.

Total year's GPA is the sum of all Grade Points of all students at the University enrolled in for-credit courses in the given year, divided by the sum (for all courses in the program) of products of Units in a Course by the Number of Students in that course.

PGPA (Program GPA) for each Degree or Certificate Program in a given semester is defined as:

PGPA is the sum of all Grade Points of all students in the Program in the given Semester, divided by the sum (for all courses in the program) of products of Units in a Course by the Number of Students in that course.

PGPA  = ∑N∑C(UC * GNC) / ∑C (UC * NC) , where U = Units in a course; G = Student grade equivalent on a 4.0 scale; N = Number of Students of program P; C = Course taken by students in a program P; ∑N = sum over all students in program P; ∑C is the sum over all courses taken by those students.

Data provided on this page is sourced from the student record database and the aggregated calculations provided in the annual Institutional Effectiveness Plan report.
